This grant was given to Princeton University to support several summer internships in the summer of 2000. Those chosen were required to work for at least six weeks in a “public service internship” and then to take part in several discussions in the fall, in which they were asked to describe the kind of work their organization does and their own experience, reflecting also on what they have learned. One of the discussion sessions took place on the University campus, and one or two others took place at nearby schools.

The University Politics Department was also awarded funds to be used to support senior-thesis research in the field of “Religion and Politics.”
