This grant was given in support of Inija Trinkuniene’s travel to the the First International Gathering and Conference of Elders of Ancient Traditions and Cultures, which was held in Mumbay, India, to present her paper, “Lithuanian folklore as a source of Baltic religion: the fire ritual.” Additionally, Ms. Trinkuniene represented The World Congress of Ethnic Religions and Lithuanian Romuva Religion presenting the “fire ritual” at the meeting and associated press conference. Inija Trinkuniene resides in Lithuania.
