India Friends Association
IFA is a non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(a) corporation in Ventura County, California. This is an organization dedicated to fostering grassroots development in India. IFA achieves this goal by directly supporting activists in various regions of India in the execution of projects that the activists consider critical.
The role of IFA is to be a catalyst in development activities focused on the most under-privileged of India. IFA accomplishes this goal by identifying projects (and the dedicated activists behind them) that are deserving of financial support. IFA’s projects focus upon basic education, livelihood development, and community building activities.
IFA is structured to be a small, family-oriented, community-based, democratic, and entirely voluntary organization. IFA strives to send all money raised to the projects it funds.
