Corner House

Corner House

Corner House is primarily a counseling agency for adolescents, young adults, and their families. It is a non-profit organization that has been in operation since 1972. The offices are housed under the Princeton Township municipal offices, but it is a joint agency of both the Borough and the Township.

Corner House has been a leading force in the community’s fight against substance abuse and other crisis issues. The organization treats its clients individually by providing counseling, substance abuse evaluations and treatment, psychiatric evaluations, and referrals to self-help programs. Recently, many outreach programs have grown out of the organization to educate the school community about the nature and extent of substance abuse problems and to help adolescents cope with the difficulties and pressures of growing up.

In 1997, prevention programs reached 611 elementary students, 550 middle school students, 605 high school students, 130 parents, 111 professionals, and 150 members of the community-at-large.
