This grant was given in support of Srividya Ramasubramanian's project to document the stereotyping of Indians in the U.S. film media. The focus of this study will be on how, when, where and why stereotyping of Indians takes place (if any). A content analysis methodology will be used to systematically observe and record a random sampling of India-related feature films.
